Last Thursday my family and I travelled to London for the Royal Association for Deaf people’s 175th Birthday Honours Awards. The gala was held at The Millennium Hotel in London Mayfair. There was a champagne reception upon arrival, it was all very posh! The room itself was huge… I don’t know how people at the back could see! They had a big projection video of whoever was speaking, with the interpreter in the corner. There was also speech to text on a screen- which was highly useful for me!
