Apologies for not updating you sooner on the #SubtitledCinema campaign, I’ve been working hard behind the scenes with Deaf Girly, Action on Hearing Loss, UK Cinema Association and representatives from Odeon, Vue and Cineworld.
Believe it or not, it’s taken me a month debating whether or not to write this, it’s one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, as I’m conscious that I will upset somebody, lose followers or industry contacts. But, I don’t know where to go next, so I hope you will let me know your thoughts of where I should go from here…
Friday 24th – Saturday 25th May saw the return of our popular Norfolk Summer Deaf Festival (NSDF) at the Forum, Norwich. Can you believe it’s been a week already?
I went along on the Friday and this year’s festival was bigger and better, an amazing success!
Time just flies! Here we are, four years later! I set this blog up on 15th May 2015 after feeling frustrated about life experiences and barriers I faced due to my deafness.
AND THE BIGGEST WEEK OF THE YEAR is over… sadly!
What a week it’s been though! Throughout this Deaf Awareness Week, we’ve seen many incredible photos, videos and lots of people sharing their stories.
I thought it would be a nice tribute to sum up the highlights in this blog!
Had a major fan-girl moment… I got to meet Russell Howard and John Bishop!
Hello to my amazing readers!
Next week it’s my favourite week of the year, it’s *drumroll please*…
