Hello!

I HAVE SOME SUPER EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE WITH YOU!

Next July 2019, my deaf boyfriend Dylan and I are off on a trip of a lifetime! We will be joining other deaf people to volunteer in a Deaf School in Sri Lanka for two weeks!

During our time there, we will be helping to renovate the school, supporting the children and learning some Sri Lankan Sign Language!

With profound deafness’ ourselves, we know how important it is for D/deaf children to get the right support, especially in countries like Sri Lanka where they may not have the resources to achieve their potential.

We are so thrilled for this opportunity, thanks to ‘VoluntEars’, a Deaf Overseas Volunteering Organisation for organising the trip. They run other trips to Nepal and Ghana, as well as Sri Lanka for deaf people. This trip is an incredible chance for us to give something back to the D/deaf community.

We will be doing some fundraising challenges between now and July to raise funds for this trip and we would really appreciate any sponsors!

I will post updates all the way through until the trip, during and after too!
