Phonak: ‘Learning to drive with a hearing loss’

Drive

Hi everyone,

It’s such a lovely sunny day today! Summer’s coming!

My latest Phonak blog tells you all about:

‘How I’m learning to drive despite my hearing loss’

Learning to drive is a fantastic experience, but it’s challenging at the same time. There’s so much to take in. My deaf-aware driving instructor uses hand signs to communicate with me as I can’t lip-read him whilst driving. As a non-signer, this is difficult for me as I’m trying to learn sign language whilst thinking about all the controls in the car. It’ll all be worth it in the end!

I hope you enjoy reading my Phonak blog and I’d love to hear about your driving experiences too! Please share them in the comments below.

I’m on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram too, if you’d like to comment there instead!

Love E x
