It’s Wednesday 3rd March which is World Hearing Day! The World Health Organization has announced that this year’s theme is Childhood Hearing Loss.
Phonak have had a key part in raising awareness of the importance of childhood hearing loss and how early diagnosis can impact their lives. Their article published yesterday states that 60% of childhood hearing loss is preventable.
I was lucky enough to write a Phonak blog which was published today! Here’s Deafie Blogger interviewing her parents… ‘Childhood Hearing Loss: A conversation with my parents’
It’s also a chance for my lovely readers to get an insight into my life from an early age! *Cute photo warning!*
I had a lot of fun on Twitter during #hearinglosshour yesterday! It was great to have the Phonak audiologists taking part in a Q&A. ‘Hearing Loss Friendly’ posted an update about how it went and #hearinglosshour trended as the 37th most talked about topic in the UK at the time! What an achievement! Join us on the first Wednesday of the month at 1-2pm, remember to use your #hearinglosshour hashtags!
I’m introducing another new exciting monthly blog on the first Monday of the month, starting next Monday 7th March… keep your eyes peeled, it’s going to be a good one!
