Phonak: ‘Why I’m learning sign language, as an “oral” profoundly-deaf(ie)’

Hello!

How are we all?

You may remember I told you that I was starting a British Sign Language Introductory course?

I have been going for a few weeks now and I love it! It’s a fascinating language to learn and I’m meeting some great people. I wrote about my first session for a Phonak blog, which you can read here:

‘Why I’m learning sign language, as an “oral” profoundly-deaf(ie)’

Now, if you’re wondering why I’m learning, even though I’m profoundly deaf… it’s because I was brought up using oral/spoken English. I explain more in the blog about the reasons behind it.

I hope you enjoy reading,

Love E x
